Counseling provides a safe space for your teen to understand and develop strategies to cope with and work through their difficulties. With therapeutic support, they can pick apart the issues that are affecting them and explore ways to work through these challenges.

This means that you will be enlisted as a partner in the counseling process, to provide support at home. This alliance will depend on what is mutually agreed upon with your teen in terms of confidentiality and privacy. Through counseling, your teen would develop their ability to handle difficult situations and you would be able to offer support when they need it.
