INDIVIDUAL COUNSELING

We all try to deal with the unique problems in our lives as best as we can but sometimes an issue overwhelms our ability to manage it and we begin to experience symptoms that create more problems in our daily lives. These compounded issues can prevent anyone from functioning optimally.

Therapy can help you with understanding and managing the issue and taking back control of your life.  We begin to gain control over and manage our issues when we stop isolating and hiding them. We begin to move away from the pain and suffering when we call the problem by its name and begin to address it.

If you are dealing with grief or a traumatic experience, feel depressed, anxious, stressed out, feel controlled by others, trapped by negative self-talk or stuck in unfulfilling relationships, therapy can help you explore your perspective of life, uncover your unique strengths, gain more control of your emotions, create healthy boundaries and help you move closer towards the life you want.

Some issues that bring people to therapy:

  • anxiety
  • trauma
  • stress
  • depression
  • self-harm behaviors
  • co-dependency
  • anger
  • abuse
  • grief & loss
  • relationship challenges
  • navigating separation & divorce
  • mental health issues that arise from physical health challenges

We often feel unhappy with our current situation or unsure about how to get to the next step in our lives. I strive to meet you where you are at, whilst helping you to find direction and move forward. My practice involves encouraging and challenging clients to identify and build upon their strengths to create positive changes in their lives. Together we can figure out what might be getting in the way of you having the life or relationship that you desire, but cannot currently achieve.
